Morimachi Float: Nakayokocho, Hiunsha

Saturday, September 27, 2025

For the current float, a float construction committee chaired by Seikichi Oba was launched in September 1989 (Heisei 1), and the float and carvings were completed in October 1993 (Heisei 5). The float body was built with the genius skills of Shohei Yamamoto, a builder from Sakae-cho, and the carvings were made by carvers of the Inami Carving Cooperative in Toyama Prefecture (from the "Mori Festival" website).
