Fukuroi City: Mutsumi-cho, Mutsumisha

The second-generation "Mutsumisha," whose consecration ceremony was held on September 28, 2025. Mutsumi-cho welcomed a new symbol, and the October festival was greatly enlivened. Those involved say they want to widen the circle of communication around "Mutsumisha" and pass the joy of the festival on to future generations. Construction: Mimuro Kenchiku Carving: Shoun Mutsumi-cho was founded in 1970 (Showa 45). At the time there was no float, and in response to the wishes of residents who felt lonely without one, four local carpenters (Seiichi Kanehara, Kazuo Matsui, Takeshi Suzuki, Isamu Kawashima) volunteered, and the first float was completed in 1975 (Showa 50). This float is the second generation.
